The World Space Risk Forum (WSRF) was set up in 2010 as a forum for the global space community to better understand space risks, new technologies and innovations with the goal to find ways to best mitigate risks, allowing Space to become a safer place to do business.

The flagship event of the WSRF is a conference that is held every two years in Dubai. The most recent WSRF conference took place from 2nd to 4th November 2016.

In addition to the conference, the WSRF provides a platform for continual dialogue and the website provides a number of resources to better understand the latest news from the Space risks industry.

Back in 2010 we set a series of mission statements to explain the value of WSRF platform and our goal to provide support the Space Risks community.

Today these mission statements still stand:

  • - Better understand the roles of all parties in understanding space risks their implications and develop ways to mitigate them
  • - Improve efficiency in our business
  • - Share experience and ideas in an atmosphere that is creative and cordial, lending itself to in-depth networking
  • - Build for the future and have a greater understanding of new risk exposures
  • - Raise expertise and leadership amongst individuals
  • - Sharing of thoughts on promoting business development and exploration in Space
